I’m in the market for a new siding nailer, wondered what people thought of the different brands available. I’m currently leaning toward the MAX
Thanks

By considering things like energy-efficient mechanicals, window orientation, and renewable energy sources, homes can be evaluated to meet the energy codes. Here's what the IRC has to say.

I can`t speak for any of the other brands, but the Hitachi I own is a dynomite tool. Lightweight, precise, easy to clear jams, well balanced. Whenever I use it I wish I did more siding. Its a pleasure to work with.

How's that hitachi siding nailer for cedar shingle
siding and roofing, or for exterior trim /fascia etc....?
I`ve never used it for cedar shakes or roof shingles, but as for the rest, it`s outstanding. I even used it once for a 3/4" T&G wainscotte ceiling. Once I identified correct placement of nose not to damage tongue, I was home free. J. D. Reynolds

Have a Hitachi...worth the exra few $$$. lightweight, easy to clear...the thing will still fire when packed with mud on a lovely rainy day...
I just re-sided a house with Hardiboard and a Porter Cable siding nailer. Worked well. I bought it at Texas Tool Traders; they also carry Hitachi, Bostich, Paslode and something else. The PC was the least expensive. Salesman tried to get me to buy the Hitachi, said it was a much better gun, but it cost $100 more. He didn't try too hard though, said the PC would be a good choice. The Hitachi did weigh a bit less.
our bostich n64 is about 3 years old.. just had it rebuilt at a bositch day at the lumber yard... picked up an n65 last year...adjustable depth set...great nail selection.. ..
also subfloor & sheathing....Mike Smith
