Hello to all,
I’d like some advice on an idea that I have for a small corner that could use a “shelf”
I have an inside corner of a bedroom that is 16″ by 18″. The corner has a door on one end and a window on the other. I was thinking about having a piece of silestone fabricated that would fit into the corner.
Here is the rub, I’d like to install it like a corner shelf with no legs to hit when I walk by it to use the bathroom.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Are you saying you want no visible means of support?
If the piece is a simple triangle, and you can have it fabricated with a nosing that hangs down a bit, you can easily conceal a ledger on each wall that supports it. You'll need solid backing for the ledger and you'll need to glue the stone to the ledger well.
Yes or at least minimal. I could invision a decorative/structural piece of trim obove and below on both edges in contact with the wall. Like sandwiching it between the pieces.
Also I haven't yet checked for stucd location as the walls are plastered and painted.
I'll have to check it with a stud detector.
Thanks for the reply

Is the silestone 3/4" thick? If so have it fabricated with a 1-1/2" nosing and you can install 1/2" x 3/4" cleats on the wall and glue the stone down with silicone. You should provide a template so they can scribe it exactly to the wall. Nothing needs to be on top of the stone to hold it.
