I need some plans or photo of a simple utility stool/bench that our volunteers could use in place of step ladders. Any ideas that would use a sheet of plywood efficiently?
Peace,
Martin

Stools are dangerous...I know you know that...So like the rest of us...keep the mud buckets and just flip em over...instant stool of death.
near the stream,
aj
My Dad has one that was a gift....hand hole in the middle to pick up....four 2x2 legs...slanted ten degrees...cut pieces out of 16" module...three stools from one sheet...
*For small elevations, I use the ubiquitous plastic milk crates with 2x12's.For larger elevations, I use short Class A stepladders with 2X12's between the steps. For benches, we use saw horses with a 4x8 sheet of plywood.
*I thought about this for two more seconds...I use and love four foot two sided very sturdy step ladders...type 1...300 pound rated...They are great safety wise cause there is ladder to grab when up just one or two steps...I stand on both sides at once all the time pinching the ladder between to work above head. and the top of the ladder is a nice place to put tools and parts while working...The other thing is the ladder company has liability instead of you and that would be first in my mind with volunteers...near the stream voting for ladders,aj
*4 castors with lever brakes, a piece of 3/4" plywood and 20 minutes is all you need.
*Sorry wrong board, was meant for mobile base
