For 6 rooms, 1000 ft2.
I want a motion detector and a hidden alarm that sounds for about 10-20 minutes then shuts itself off. Thats about it. To scare someone out of the house
i have spent time on the web and can not find a simple sysytem. All the ones have control panels or provide monitoring.
Any leads on simple motion detectore- lots sold but no info on how to hook up to an alarm.

For 6 rooms and 1000 sq ft you will need multiple units. That typically implies some kind of central place or control panel.
Now there are some small specialty alarms that might work. Try a google on "travel secuirty alarm" and "motel security alarm".
The ones that I think of off the top of my head are door hanger and the like.
But there might be some motion sensor types. And they probably have internal alarms.
But with some surgery you might be able to make it a remote alarm.
Have you looked at http://www.smarthome.com Beside full blown alarm systems the do have not os gadgets that might work.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
A small office really- would just do the main office area- if someone broke in, thats where they would go, and trip the alarm
I think Radio Shack sells inexpensive alarms.
