Basic PB shelves in a HO basement.
One set is 16″ deep (with a 12″ top shelf) the other set is 24″ deep with a 16″ top shelf (both are 8′ long and 6′ tall).
Here is a pic of how I typically do basic cleats with a couple of extra 45* bevel cuts.

Just right for the application.
I like the closet bar feature, for my wife it would be all closet bar, and another shelving unit for shoes. I think she is about ready for the motorized track of clothes like at the Dry Cleaners.

The short rod and single shelf area was adopted to move the support bulkhead away from the closet entrance (allowing for an inswinging door and keeping the light switch out of the shelving unit).That tall space can be used for broom, mop, vacuum, etc.The HO was out of town on a 4-day trip (returning today)...I hope they like it.I need to build a few similar units for my wife and family sometime--I can relate to need for the motorized dry cleaners rack. : )
Nice and clean, like the extra detailing on the cleats. What are the shelves made of (PB ?).
They are a mix of 24" PB shelves and melamine in the 16" and 12" sizes.Just basic, relatively cheap, storage--but I try to do even the most basic project in a basement closet, as if I was auditioning to do something greater.This is my first project for this customer, but it could lead to remodeling the rest of the basement this winter.Thanks.
