I’ve got an american standard “americast” sink, which is porcelain on some unknown (to me) substrate as opposed to cast iron.
I’m adding an undersink water filter and must add a 2nd faucet for the filtered water up top. My two choices are to use the soap dispenser hole (which I actually use more than I thought I would) or drill a new hole (the reason I’m leaning this way is the soap dispenser hole is not on the side where I’d like the new faucet to be).
Anybody ever drilled one of these things or should I stick with using the soap dispenser hole?

yup...
used a carbide grit hole saw and candle wax as a lube...
drilled with steady pressure and slow speed...

Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
I did it once and it went through like butter with a new carbide bit...same one I used to drill through my soapstone counters.

Thanks, guys. Think I'm gonna replace the soap dispenser for now and if I miss it too bad, I'll drill a hole. Manassas
