Hi-
Installing a gas infrared heater tube system in my garage/workshop.
Wondering about size in btu, and any general info you can provide (as far as heat loss calcs).
My 2×4 construction garage is 34×22′ with an 8′ ceiling, R19 bats in the ceiling, R11 bats in the walls. Would like to achieve 72 degrees F if only for a few hours at a time, but 50 or 60 is fine for the norm…assume outside temp of 10 degrees F.
Looking at a 60,000 btu Solaronics 20′ long infared heater tube, and want to make sure it is sized correctly.
Thanks for any info, I’m ignorant on heat loss calcs.

I'm curious also. Have a H.O. that want's one in their shop, although they are looking at a 25' X 110' building. One down each side.
Anyone???
Lite,
Here is a link to a helpful site. I do not know that the calculations would be any different for the radiant heat or not.

Hope this helps,
