Hi all, I am installing a drop-in jetted tub in our main bath. I am looking for advice on sizing the cutout. The mfg, doesn’t provide a template. My initial thought is to to use the outside dimensions and subtract 1/2 – 3/4 “. I have attached the mfg’ drawing for reference.
I am tiling the top of the surface and don’t want to interfere with the area for the taps.
Am I on the rght track? (or should I give up and tell my wife she ain’t gettin’ no tub for Christmas!)
Many thanks
David

I don't think it's possible to say without looking at the actual unit. You want to figure out what the usable lip is, from the outer edge of the tub to the point where the deck will begin to interfere with something.
If you're tiling under the tub edge you need some "runway" there so you can avoid tiny pieces and to allow for the inevitable irregularities along the tile edge.
