Before I buy the Ryobi (the with the 27 rip). I was thinking if I need to do something or missed about my skil table saw. Originally, the switch was the problem, it sort of gave way as brought about by on and off thus I decided to replace with the ordinary one (replaced one as per advise of the people at HD). Anyway, as I replaced it, it worked after a few wood a but suddenly stopped regardless of me having it directly plugged to the main switch. I just can’t believe that it will not work suddenly because of switch replacement. Is there a reset button that I should do for the motor or it is really out? I don’t think motor is burn.
Thank you all for your response.

I bought a really cheap table saw at Lowes about 6 yrs ago ... cost $89 then. The swich gave out after about 3-4 years, so I went to Radio Shack and bought a toggle switch rated for 120V 15A and drilled a hole in the front of the saw and wired to the new switch. Works quite well.
There is a small button on the front of the saw that is a circuit breaker. It has only tripped about twice. See if you can find a small button, about the size of a pencil eraser. With the saw unplugged, push the button in. If it stays in, then it's reset. If it won't stay in, then I guess the CB is bad.
If you think you need a new saw, look at the Ryobi at Home Depot. It's a little less than $200, comes with a built in folding stand with wheels, and is surprisingly good for a Ryobi.

Also check the motor brushes.
