Sloped Gutters on Protruding Chalet style house
We currently own a chalet style house where the gable end isn’t perpendicular to the side walls. It protrudes out to a point. Our deck also sits on that gable end and my question revolves around the rain water run-off from the roof falling directly onto our deck. It’s causing deterioration issues with the deck and I want to stop it. Is there a way to catch that rain water run-off and stop it from falling on the deck? Obviously a gutter comes to mind but it would have quite the slope to the down spout. Is there a reasonable solution to divert that rain water?

We have done this upstream from doorways without gutters. I looked up this video which gives you one way it’s done.
For your application you might figure using shorter pcs of drip edge alternated/staggered down the slope of the roof in the area above where you want to protect.

Now, if that would look too goofy and you can engineer this idea and be confident you aren’t introducing water under the shingles....
Take a long pc of stock drip edge (what Silva shows is pretty wide drip edge and not necessary here) and invert it (lip up) and slide it on top of your existing drip edge and under your shingles along the rake. Think like water and be sure not to let water under the shingles. Sealant might be your friend.
After that, I got nothing.
I appreciate that Calvin. I found the rain diverter Silva used shortly after posting this question and will plan on doing something along those lines. Thinking shorter, staggered pieces will work but certainly have the "water under the shingle" at the forefront of how I install it. Thanks again.
Just in case someone else is getting wet, stop back and report how you did. Of course there’ll probably be a drought now....
