I’ve got an 8 foot wide enclosed porch with a concrete floor sloping about an inch along the width of the room. The plan is to rip PT 2x4s at an angle to compensate for the slope of the deck. Then, shoot these sleepers to the concrete and fill the voids with rigid insulation board. On top will be 1/2″ CDX then 1/2″ cement board with thinset tile topping it off. The main point of this exercise is to get a level and hard wearing floor that won’t get cold in the winter. Am I going about this in the most efficient manner? Is their maybe a better way to level the floor? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
