Small Homes That Live Large blueprints
I am looking for information on a house that was in “The Best of Fine Homebuilding Houses under 2500 Sq Ft”. Winter/Spring 2007 issue. My wife and I like the home by Dennis Parker in the issue. We are wanting to build a home later this year and have a small lot already to build on. We would like to build a house like the one in the issue. The problem is there is no information on if the blueprints are available or not. Nor is there any kind of contact information to even ask.
If anyone has any idea where or if the plans are available please let me know.
Thanks,
Russ

The plans used to be available from Dennis' website, which I believe was classicsmallhome.com, or something along that line. You used to be able to view an expanded version of the FHB story, more pics, and the plans, and order the plans as well. At the time, there was a blurb about the Parkers working in some remote area on their next project and not being around much to check email. Since then, the website seems to have disappeared from existence, so I'm not sure where the Parkers are nowadays.
Not that I'd suggest pirating their plan, but it really shouldn't be too tough to replicate if you can't find the plans for sale anymore. If you can get them, the $600 or so that they used to cost would be a worthwhile investment.
FWIW, I really liked the plan myself. I think I probably would have widened the layout by 2'-4' to make the bedrooms and the kitchen slightly bigger. Other than that, it it a great plan.

Thanks for the info. Just wish the site was still there.
