I am so sorry to hear this...
my heart to you....

My condolences.
I always liked his tag "Due to budget cuts..."
His quote on his profile is good too:

I'm sorry I never got to meet him.

I posted this once, but it doesn't seem to have taken, so now I post again. If I have two posts in this thread, that's why.

Please find solace in happy memories.
There is a big community here that can offer emotional support. If you need to unload or talk, know that many here are ready to listen.
PS - I've always gotten a kick out of mrmojo's tagline and have quoted it to others. Perhaps he's on his way to turn that light back on for the rest of us.

Feel free to stop in anytime and post whatever ya want. If and when you're up for it, I'd be happy to hear how the 2 of you met, how you found out about Breaktime, what you did together, etc. Anything you feel like telling us.
Two things are necessary for important tasks: A plan, and not quite enough time
My Brother died the same way only into the shower.
Tim
I think that is somewhat common because of the symptoms of a heart attack. It includes sweating and feeling hot, as well as indigestion. Cousin Buddy died like that in the shower, and had all those symptoms when he went in, but I don't believe he mentioned chest pain. He had a couple heart attacks before, but for some reason he did not recognize the symptoms that time.
They are not always the same . Many people die because they werent like the other one .
Tim
any time its easier 2 talk about it now so any time. thanx bossDue to recent budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.
I'm not sure I understand what you meant by that post. What I was trying to get across was that you're welcome to talk about him, or post anything you want to if you think it will help YOU to talk about it. I'm not gonna pester you with questions, or pressure you to tell us anything. Just feel free to tell us anything if ya want to.

Like so many of us here, so sorry for your pain!
Breaktimers are famous for being helpful & supportive, so post any time.
it makes me feel good 2 know he had so many friends that cared i appreciate all the kind words i can say that he never felt a thing it was so quick i just need 2 get over walking in my bathroom bcause i still c him laying there that is the hardest thing 4 me i know he will always b here 4 me even when hes not ty all. heartattack i never would have thoughtDue to recent budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.
Since Ive lost a Brother and Ive had two heart atttacks myself it has become an interrest story to me that sometimes it happens so suddenly.
My Brother had pain but he thought it was somthing else.
I thought I was fat and out of shape for the reason I had no energy. Even the heavy breathing walking up the driveway. Even though the wife had complained for a long time my breathing in bed was loud . Still it wasnt enough clue . Then as I sat in my office under a light fan on high and the thermostat set at 73 degrees , I broke out in a cold sweat. Instantly I felt like I had the flu . That was enough to alert me but others have said"I feel bad " I guess mainly ignore it especially men as they are always under some kind of pain in construction and they can heal themselves most all the time . Its part of life to live and work with pain or not feel good so whats the big deal? One pain to the next we live through them or so we think. So we wake up with a pain in our arm and think its the work. We have a chest pain and think its indigestion or sometimes the smoking as I did. Even tobacco juice swallowed will do it so no big deal. Too much coffee we think , sure thats it . Gonna have to cut down on the caffiene I tell ya , well one day . Not today though as there is too much on our mind as well as the smokes.
Through a survey I read thats foggy in memory but the facts are still clear; Somthing like 30 percent of people that die from heart attacks never complained . 70ish percent are men. So the big question is what happened on the last day of their life ? We can only make gueses like I just did. I never complained because for one not many want to hear complaining and who wants to worry the worry wart wife and get her lecture about the same topics of what ever it is ? For mine is was smoking .
So on the day it happened the ER called my wife 350 miles from home and told her they were transferring me to Arkansas Heart hospital. She remembers holding the phone in disbelieve . That hospital was another 100 miles away from Dallas to Little Rock. He never complained of anything was her first reply or she would not have been in Dallas.
For some reason I took 4 asprins before my call to ER from my office . The ER doctor thinks that saved my life with 95 percent blockage[in three ateries] which I still question of being true . The surgeon said I wasnt supposed to make the 100 mile trip with that blockage and most of the time they are DOA. If the blockage estimate was true , I should have been in that staistic I discussed. Instead I survived a 5 bypass and a stroke on the table . Who would have thought that , as you say?
Tim
Tim,
Wow, what a story. Thanks for sharing that. I, for one, am real glad you're still here and not that statistic you were referring to.
I'll bet you just described most of us here to a "T"..... working through pain and sickness....getting to a point where feeling lousy for one reason or another is just a fact of life. It's always something.... a pain here, feeling sick there, sore over there..... so why bother complaining? No one wants to hear it anyway, right? Besides... the show must go on.
Guess we should all do a better job of listening to our bodies when they're telling us something ain't right. Shoot, the bearings on a saw start squealing and I pay attention. The truck starts making funny noises and I pay attention. Probably should give myself the same respect I give to the things I own.View Image
Thanks .
That's not the first time I have shared that story, but I thought now was a time to share it again. I actually wrote here quite a bit about it until people here didnt want to hear it . <G>
Several people have died here this year from the same thing . A 40 year old builder died on the table and shocked the community.
The biggest shock was only a couple months ago and I almost ran a thread on him. He owned the hardware store that had every thing . He helped me so much through the years with flips and rentals I cant express words for how much he meant to me . I could have never repay him if he had lived. He never asked me for a single thing . His knowledge was extreme and I was very lucky to have known him.
He went to a simulcast where you get to bet on horses with a group of friends. He was sitting at a table with 5 others and was drinking tea with lemon. His glass dropped to the floor and the lemon came out of his mouth. That was it . He was dead . The only thing that was said was he was quiet before it happened. . That would be a change for his personality but no one noticed it . He never winced with pain and never once complained . He was still sitting up with a stone stare . No big dramatic ending to tell about . Everyone knew he was dead but he just sat there .
They moved his funeral to an an autorun after the cause of family and friends night at the funeral home . Many said they drove back home because there was no place to park. An estimated 5000 turned out . The biggest by far that's ever been in this small town. I guess he had made a lot more friends than me . <G>
He was considered rich.I wont go into what he owned but Ill include that he owned three city blocks of old houses. He could have afforded treatment any where he wanted but he never even had a doctors appointment .
Tim
Sorry about your friend, & glad you survived. The same thing happened to the fiance of a friend, at his bachelor party - laughing with his friends one moment, dead the next.

"O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless --of cities fill'd with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light --of the objects mean- of the struggle ever renew'd;
Of the poor results of all --of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest --with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring -What good amid these, O me, O life?
Answer.
That you are here --that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.

Taken in the spirit offered...although some of us like our spouses...
I see you are in central Florida? I wouldn't be suprised if there are members of this forum who could help you out with finishing that deck. I know I would if I were down there. But do be careful giving out personal information online, especially when you are in a vulnerable positionm.Do you have friends and family near to assist and comfort you? I certainly hope so. I'm clumsy about trying to comfort people and offer a sympathetic ear so I guess I'll move on now, but know that many of us do care...On another note - I'm sure many of us have wondered how or if this community would be notified should we suddenly depart for the next life.

My husband died 2 1/2 years ago, although it wasn't sudden - so I know how much you miss him. You never "get over it", but time helps a lot, to integrate loss as part of your life. Nothing really helps, except getting through one day at a time. Thinking of you -

I have no words at all.
What few occur burn in their lack and hollowness and become cheap and split-tongued in their creation-as always seems to be the case in these situations.
I do not know what to say, what to offer, what to suggest to help in this time.
Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
