Someone was telling me about a new product to replace sono tubes. It’s made to a material similar to tri-flex and you fasten two 2×4 to hold it together. Brace to the 2×4.
If you have seen this product, could you pass along a link to the manufacturer.
Thanks.
If it wasn’t for the Bank Payments,
Interest, Taxes, Wages, and Fuel Costs,
I wouldn’t have to charge you!!

you don't like sona tubes?
Some company was working on a fiberoptic version of the sun tunnel too, but I never heard if they got a product on the market.
The idea was to have your globe on the roof like the sun tunnel, but is shines on the bundles of fiberoptic cables, which can then be run to any part of the house (like any other cable) and thereby remotely provide sunlight whereever you needed it. In theory it would make for less energy loss as well as providing light in hard to light areas.
I think some govt funded project was looking at hybrid electric lights with fiberoptic light feeds in them. A sensor would automatically dim the electric lights when the fiberoptic light tunnel was putting out more light. But in that case, I think they may have been using a dish on teh roof to concentrate the light on the fiberoptic focal point.
[edit] This isn't the site I'd seen the article on, but it gives you an idea on the govt funded project
