About two years ago my wife and I bought a raised ranch as a second home. The house was built in 1978 and has the paper thin walls to prove it. I have done a ton of work to the house, not least of which was opening up the kitchen and front of the house into a nice open plan.
My problem is that my daughter’s room abuts the main living space and we keep her up at night because there is no sound insulation. I really do not want to pull down her walls and hang new sheet rock. Aside form the general disruption this would cause, I really hate working with sheet rock.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone used any of the spray foam products out there?

The issue before the current one of JLC had a good article on the topic.

yes icynene insulation. small holes at the top of the wall at 16" or 24" centers and then a nice crown detail to cover holes.
expensive but very functional, probally worth the money
