Is the drywall up? New construction, renovation? Need a little more info.
New const., Mst. bdrm done, family room (basement) open.
Best thing to do is insulation and seperation of ceiling and floor. if not a drop ceiling then maybe straping hung just below the joists to separate the ceiling from the floor. Anything to stop the vibration from getting through.
Hell, just stomp on the floor.

You and the missus should go about your business quietly so you don't disturb the kids below, or do it in the bathroom with the water running.
Seriously, you could use metal resilient channel on the ceiling (screw it crossways to the joists and then screw the drywall to the channel without letting the drywall screws hit the joists), and/or use Quietrock drywall, or use two layers of drywall with Green Glue between them. Carpet on your bedroom floor would help. Maybe rockwool insulation in the ceiling. Consider using at least 5/8" Type X drywall.
