I’m putting together a bid on remodling a beauty salon and the decorator wants a couple of decorative columns, preferably fluted, on top of a half wall that devides the waiting area from the working side of the shop. The columns only need to be 4′ tall and do not attach to the suspended ceiling. I can’t fnid anything locally and Outwater (on line) was no help. One problem is that if you take taller column and cut it, then the base and capital no longer fit. Any suggestions out there? Thanks

You might be able to find something here even if you have to customize it a little.

Try Adams wood products or Hogan Hardwoods.

You should be able to get non tapered columns.
If you get a nine foot or more you could cut it in half and just buy two sets of bases and caps.
