Source for Hitachi hanger gun nails
I need Hitachi 17134 nails for the NR65AK hanger gun. They aren’t available locally. Amazon wants $80 for a box of 3000, which is about right, but $45 for shipping. Anyone know where to get a better deal than that? All of the other nails I buy are Senco and are local source. It doesn’t look like Senco positive placement nails fit the Hitachi, and I probably wouldn’t believe it even if they said so.

David,
You could try nailzone.com. For me they would charge $23 shipping, $83 for the nails. I'm in SoCAl.

I went to the amazon site and put the nails into the shopping cart like I was buying and didn't see the shipping charges? What is with the over 25$ free shipping? I didn't go all the way to checkout cause I don't need the nails but I thought they could be free shipped?
Explan and lets see if ?
And I went hunting further and found this.
Quality Distributing ships both Standard and Expedited shipping options. Most in-stock items should arrive on your doorstep 3 to 4 business days after receipt of your order. Orders to Quality Distributing are not included in Amzon Free Freight programs.
But surly there must be a way to ????? off to the hunt, bigger better cheaper.
As I went to spell check it showed the misspelling of Amazon. Maybe we can get them on a technicality because this above was a paste from amazon site. But are they included in the Amazon free freight programs.
Found this, UPS Ground
$18.52 At this site.http://www.nailzone.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=728 That is shipped to SLC, ut but get me some more info and and and
Hey I got to get a order up for my dad in Va for a PC rt angle sander and Pc334 any body know any deals?
David, nobody in your area sells Hitachi brand nails? Can't get anybody to order them for you? A lumber yard, a tool store, even a home center? Man, that must suck.
I'm in zip 98250. Amazon defaults to Quality Distributing for this item. I didn't see any options on the shipping, it just threw a $46 charge in my cart. Uh-uh.
Brian, the local yards probably would order it for me, but I'd pay at least as much. The in-stock Senco fasteners are OK on price, for instance I bought a box of Senco, (4000) 3-1/4" x .131 galv framing spikes for $80 and I'll get 10% off that when they invoice me. Hopefully you won't tell me the same thing costs you $50, although I won't be that surprised if it does.
I did a large deck project and found that ordering SS fasteners was hands-down cheaper, way way cheaper. In general I'm trying to cultivate mail order sources for anything that can be shipped. Amazon is my first look for every tool, but at $46 for the shipping they lose this round.
I plugged in the zip yu posted and it shows UPS Ground
$23.95

still not the best but better.
Thanks, I'm going to go for that deal. $23 seems about right, since it probably weights at least 20 lbs.
