I have a 4’x4′ neo shower base installed.
I am getting quotes on “doors”, which are basically just big sheets of glass.
I am experienced with glass shower doors and hard water. I don’t really want large expanses of glass.
Does anyone know of a source for non-traditional shower enclosures that would fit on an installed base meant for glass…i.e., not glass blocks.
I was thinking something like quilted stainless panels, 2-ply, with foam sandwiched between (or not), maybe engine-turned on the outside, with provision for 12″x12″ windows.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you considered using a glass that is not clear? Many glass co's. make custom shower doors and have a large selection of glass patterns. There are also many products available that you can spray on the glass after each shower that will prevent etching. I think there may also be a more permanent coating for the glass to prevent etching available as an option from a glass company.
I just don't like glass.I'm now being talked into using the thin corian sheets they sell for lining the other walls of the shower. Just need a source for the framework, door and walls, and the hinges and latch mechanism.Reason for the solid wall being I have some antique molded/pressed glass panels of about 12"x12" I'd like to inset into these walls...sort of Normandy liner.Need to come up with some means of stiffening the corian panels though, seem pretty floppy to me. Don't know if the framework will help much. Thanks
