Greetings all. Does anyone know of a good company that stocks good quality wooden double hung windows with the pulley and weight system. I need a few and can only seem to find shops that custom build them. I am installing them in an addition to an old house so I am flexible as to size.
Also, does any company carry a good wooden eyebrow window?
Thanks, as usual for all of your valuable insights. Walt.

Morning Walt,
I could not find any Double hungs that were for Weight & pulley in my area.
I did find wooden doubles that accepted the new spring balances.
I modified them slightly so I wouldnt loose the old weight & pulleys. I made an new grooved insert from wooden dowel stock that I glued and nailed into the spring balance channel that is premilled into each sash. I could then have an anchor point for the rope knot and a groove for the rope.
It really isnt pretty but it is invisible when the window is installed.
The company was Brosco. (Probably the same company that made your originals! they've been in business for a very long time!)
*Thanks for the suggestion....Brosco is sending a calalog my way.Anyone have any thoughts on the eyebrow window or any other thoughts on who makes good wooden double hung windows?
