I am looking at a cabin that has stairs that don’t meet the building code. Can someone please tell me what the IRC 2000 code requirements are for spiral stairs/
Thanks, Bob

I've been installing Duvinage Corporation's spiral stairs here in MA for about 10 years and have never had an inspection problem with their 5'-0 unit with 30 degree tread- rise ht usually falls in the 8-9" range. Currently getting ready to install their 6'-0 unit with 28 degree treads in a commercial space in Boston with 8.562" riser ht. I've never installed under 5'-0 where a permit was issued.
