I got a mass email yesterday and there was a tip for removing splinters.
Squirt some elmers glue on the splinter stuck in your hand or finger.
Let it dry.
Peel the glue away and wala the glue removes the splinter as the splinter has stuck to the glue.
Anyone ever tried this?

mrfixitusa,
Wood glue works on almost all splinters except those actaully below the skin..
Eh. A sharp utility blade is good enough for me.
If all you're dealing with is splinter removal you can get a nonfancy version of the same razortip style tweezers for like a buck a piece in a holder that'll let you place one in yer firstaid box, misc. tool container/pocket, glovebox, etc. so you'll always have easy access when needed.
be and keep one next to your bottle of Nu-Skin while yer at it.
I used to do that in 8th grade - spread glue all over my palm, let it dry, start to peel it off, & make sure the teacher noticed my disabling skin condition...
It also works for removing bits of fiberglass from one's skin.
......did you eat the glue?
Not the Elmer's, but Duco cement...yes!
That glue idea is fine if there is wood sticking out, but if it's broken off, and you don't want to dig and bleed, I have had good success with neosporin and a bandaid. Let it sit for a day or so and it will squirt right out with a little gentle pressure. Very satisfying.
Yes, this is especially good for those tiny splinters that you can feel but not see.
