bump
bump? what does that mean?maddog
Often times one will type the word 'bump' into a single post in order to have that thread he/she is posting in to once again enter the 'recent discussion' list and then go back to the top of it's individual column listing.
In this sense the word 'bump' is just used as the common expression to announce what is being done as the reason for that post.
What this does is increases the opportunity that post has for being before the eyes of the possible viewers, thus extending the normal course in the life of the thread, which will eventually end up buried in the archives.
In this situation I 'bumped' the post because I felt the information you provided warranted the action to increase attention to the recall alert.
Cheers
be we're all in this together

Thanks for that info,I wondered why the post vanished from the list so soon, too many posts not enough space? maddog
Regarding the 'recent discussion' list it depends on the frequency of new posts going on board. Put one up in early evening when many BTers are posting and it won't last long at all.
Do one at 4am and it'll last much longer before it goes into whatever file folder you designated, as you did with this post to the 'General Discussion' folder.
After the post is pushed off the bottom of the general discussion folder it will still be found in the general discussion folder and may be seen by clicking on the xxxxxMsgs found uner the filefolder title as shown in purple here.
This will open the file revealing the links to many general discussion posts and viewing old threads may be continued back in time by scrolling down that now extended viewing list of messages to the tab Next 50View Image and clicking on it.
