Squeeky, tongue & (dirty) groove floor
I’ve got a 15-year-old 3/4″ thick oak floor (random widths and lengths) in my kitchen. The grooves collect dirt and the whole thing squeeks a lot. Can I fill in the grooves with something flexible; and, before doing that, can I ‘lube’ the grooves with something to reduce squeeking?

Vaccum completely and then sprinkle liberally some talcum power into the grooves..
should help, although the real issue is the subfloor..
