I am going to be pouring a fairly large concrete apron in front of my shop (roughly 40′ X 30′) and would like to dress up the concrete some way. I’ve looked in to stamped patterned concrete- waay too expensive. Also looked in to mixing in pavers along the edges and in the slab. While more viable, not much fun to form the concrete, and a potential bugger to plow in the winter. I’ve been looking at Duck Back (www.superdeck.com) and like their products from a ease of application standpoint; the color pallette available; and I can get it locally. I’m considering using a walk behind concrete saw to saw joints into the concrete in to a checkerboard pattern (4′ X 4′ grid), using different colors in the squares, and possibly doing a brick-look soldier course border.
Looking for anyone offering experience with this process, recommendations on products, difficulty, etc. Thanks!
