staining options

I am installing a wide plank eastern white pine floor in my own home.  I am looking for stain options.  Anyone have any suggestions for a color or manufacturer of a unique color?  Have any personal favorite recipes or sources for colonial or williamsburg type finishes?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
