is there a generally accepted amount that one stair “hangs” over the riser below it? is 3/4″ ok?
i’m putting in a deck with solid stairs and was curious what the nosing overhang should be.

There are a number of ways to achieve a level foundation and mudsill.

I extend 2-1/4" from frame. That gives me 3/4" for riser, 3/4" for scotia, and 3/4" for the bullnose
