   there are a number of good books out there to get you started, you'll soon see this may be one of those things best left to pros. lots of stair guys around will build the whole thing and ship it to your job site. glad to answer any specific questions.

   In the photo gallery folder here you can look (search) for any of the stairs done by stan foster.  You won't find and instruction manual there, but there's an abundance of information you can pick out of the various threads.
