I have an addition that I have to frame and the house has a standing seam roof.
The HO wants standing seam on that as well. I have called and got a company to take care of it, I asked them if they want anything under the standing seam and they said it doesn’t matter.
I want to Grace the roof before they get there, any issues with this?
Sphere, See You,or someone else any insight?
I’m only half as dumb as I look.

I'd prefer Titanium UDL, RooftopguardII or one of the other synthetic underlayments. The metal should be isolated from the asphaltic based underlayments and using one of the synthetics keeps the roofer from having to lay red rosin paper, which they probably wouldn't do anyway.
Plus, the synthetics are a snap to install compared to I&WS and probably less costwise.

Thanks for the advice See You, Slate Man.
As I have said before I haven't dealt with standing seam and slate before.
I go to you guys for advice.
Thanks guys.I'm only half as dumb as I look.
If I were doing it I'd use one of the mnew synthetics instead of Grace- Roof Top Guard or Titanium UDL
Great minds think alike...........

After I typed in a response I clicked and had seen you responded just moments before-with slightly more detail.
My thought was exactly the quote you wrote!.
I just mailed out a nice old Pexto ripper to Sphere.

And you are one cool cat for doing that.

I did listen, I don't know the first thing about it and I am not going to pretend I do.
The standing seam guy said they will be able to do it in two weeks. The addition might take me a day to frame. I wanted to at least dry it in so the place wouldn't get soaked by the time the roofers showed up. I'm only half as dumb as I look.
