I saw the Stanley Intelilaser Studfinder at Lowes. Is this product any good? I havent heard much about Stanley stud finders, only Zircon. I dont expect to use it on plaster, i know nothing works on plaster.
Thanks

The best stud finder idea I got from Gary Katz, a rare earth magnet. You just slide it across the wall and it will stick to the drywall screw. It will stay there and you nail, drill, whatever and move on. No need to mark anything and it frees your hands to do the work. You can get them at Woodcraft and all over. I gave up on stud finders, the magnets work on everything.
I have a few from old computer hard drives.
I guess this works for nails, too, since a lot of cardboard homes don't get built with screws.
