Just picked up a Bostich 18g stapler at HD. Their selection of bostich staples was very limited though. I needed 3/4″ and they didn’t have them. I bought the PC staples instead.
Question, the Bostich stapler says that it used 7/32″ staples and the PC staples are 1/4″. Will they work? (need to know before I open a $20 box of staples that I can’t use)
Replies
Nope.

What Sphere said. Try looking at Lowe's if you have one nearby or order on the web.

I have 10 boxes of 5/8, let me know if you want a box.
Is that a good length for fastening back panels on cabinets?
If so I'll take two if the price is right.
It's good if you are putting 1/4" or thinner back panels onto solid wood. I would probably use longer ones into plywood because it is going between plies, not much grip there. As far as the price, how about 2 boxes for $15 + shipping?
I'm actually going to take the gun back instead. I've looked at another HD and Lowes and niether carry a variety of the staples. It's not worth the hassle if I can't easily get the supplies that go with it.
Get a 1/4" crown stapler. Seems like the staples are more readily available for them.
I can't stand when companies make something that only uses their supplies. The PC staples fit in almost any other gun but the Bostitch. Not worth the extra effort. Thanks for the offer though.
"I can't stand when companies make something that only uses their supplies."That's Bostitch for ya.
