Hi All-
Coming from the old school and have built walls all my life with wooden studs. I was at this site the other day and saw the job where they were using steel studs. From what I saw…all I can saw is wow.
Simple, straight, light, etc. They even did a curved soffit running miter cuts along a existing frame.
So, for guys who’s worked both sides of the material…wood and steel, I’d like get some feedback.
BTW, anyone know any good books on framing with steel. I can’t seem
to find any.
What gauges of steel are out there? Do you guys mix wood and steel when doing load bearing walls?
