For radiant jobs we pull 500' rolls out into the woods, cut them to 250' loops and let them sit overnight. PEX doesn't like sunlight though so yu can't leave it out there too long.
We just did a underfloor installation and the movie Anaconda came to mind (minus J-Lo) .We tried everything and ended up just dealing with the memory.Dont try warming it or itll kink even more.We were using the 7/8" doing every other joist on 16"c .; returning to the heater on the missed bays.U still will end up in bays where u do a 16" bend and there u just need to station a person to work the pipe with both hands around the bend. We drilled 2 3/8 " hole in our tru-joist..seems big but some holes will ahve 2 pipes..and drill every joist both ends..we tried to figure which joist mite not need a hole and it was just easier to do them all.
Well, step one is not to run such huge pipe in a joist bay. I know you were probably told to do that; it's a bad idea. If there's a next time, try 1/2" at two per bay, using the pull method, and you'll smile all day remember how hard it was the last time.If you want straight pipe, use PEX-AL-PEX. Once straightened, it stays straight.-------------------------------------
