Alice Cooper. Still the best campaign slogan I've ever heard (governorship of Arizona): "A Troubled Man for Troubled Times."
If I could vote that is. That still seems so unfair.
*Sorry, I actually meant to post this over in the Woodshed -- have asked the SYSOP to move it.
*SandraM. Alfred Newman. GeneL
*Frank Zappa.-pm
*jim "crazy legs" blodgettRich Beckman

*yup.... there's a surprise... knock me over with a feather.....hah, hah, hah........
*Make that two more for Bush (me n the wife)
*Dick Cheney and Colin Powell are going to be here in Orange County Sunday aft. Hope to see them & vote Bush/Cheney Tues........Joe H
*Bush
*Bush
*Bush
*i Straw PollI like those big fat red ones they have at Burger King.
*Gore, but then I'm one of those uneducated women with a Masters degree who votes solely on looks. (accordin' ta the r'pubs anyway)
*Bush
*I really like Bush he reminds me of some of the guys I played poker with when I lived in Texas. I wouldn't want any of them as President either It's Gore all the way
*I played poker with Dubya in Texas. He doesn't bluff easy, and only drinks ginger ale. Has a bad poker face though. Algore told me he invented poker- and ginger ale, so I'm for Bush.
*Alan Keyes
*Since Gore is a lock here in NY to win the Electoral College delegates my vote for him would be wasted. I voting for Nader to get the Green party the 5% of the nationwide popular vote they need to get matching federal funds in the next election. Gore-Bush there isn't all too much difference between the two with the exception of what they will do with the Supreme Court. If honesty is a real criteria for anyone out there than they have to vote for Nader the only really honest canidate in this whole election.
*Sure would have liked to vote McCain. Too bad they ran a good man off.
*Man I wish we could get Alan Keyes intelligence, McCains work ethic and Nader's integrity. What a candidate.
*b WBA At Your ServiceSupreme Court Justices have historically had a way of surprising the Presidents that selected them. Our system has a wonderful way of weeding out radical judicial selections.
*Al Gore.
*I was just telling that story today! Years ago, I had read that things actually seem to work up there! This study had tracked the votes, and basically, the judges left their party bias' behind. Liberals would support a conservative line of thinking as much as the conservatives would back the liberals. Nice to know! Jeff
*used to work would be more like it..3 conservative appointments will tip it no matter how you count the votes....clarence thomas as chief justice ?
*50 years of US PresidentsEisenhower -- "I like Ike" who didn't! Worst mistake was Nixon as VPKennedy -- Not all he was cracked up to be. His legacy of Cuba and Viet Nam will make his historic legacy more tarnished.Johnson -- Crude but he could work with Congress. The problem is you can't have guns and butter (ie Viet Nam and the Great Society). Best president for civil rights!Nixon -- (and let's not forget Agnew) both resigned. Remember his wage and price controls, and the whole BS about Viet Nam.Ford -- does anybody remember anything Ford did other than pardon Nixon. Famous because he is the only non-elected president!Carter -- probably the most intelligent President ever but had no grasp of insider Washington politics and operations. Morality at the highest level (Lusted in his heart - jeez).Regan -- (with Nancy) ofda. Promised to cut government and damn near bankrupt the country. Iran-Contra and right wing death squads in Central America. Ollie North! When did his Alzheimer start??? The master of the sound bite but as an actor he should have been!Bush -- ex CIA director but knew nothing about Iran-Contra (sure). Main claim to fame was the Gulf War. So impersonal and such a bad communicator he lost after one term. Barbara had more brains than he did and was the only redeeming part of his administration.Clinton -- as my friend once said - who is so dumb that he has a Jewish mistress and a Gentile lawyer. Another ineffective Washington outsider. Will have a legacy like Taylor or Tyler?
*Gore - as big a surprise as Fusco's, right?
*>Al Gore did not claim to have invented the internet or to have discovered Love Canal; the Republicans have twisted his words (he was an early supporter of the internet and was on a congressional committee that studied Love Canal and other toxic waste sites.)So who deserves scorn here? Whose the liar?<>A few have, and they're the one's who get the attention. Most SC justices pretty much continue the same course they were on. This could be the most important issue in this election, togther with W's being a front for whichever power brokers set him up (and knocked down John McCain) in the first place.<>ROFLOL ("Rolling on the floor, laughing out loud!")
