stucco expert needed in Philly area
I have a problem with a customers wall. It looks like stucco but some areas looked like peeling paint but much too thick for paint. When peeled off, the pieces have a rubber like feel to them. We wrongly suspected water pushing off the surface.
I don’t know what this stuff is!
I need a stucco person to repair this. asap. North east philly/jenkintown area.

Sounds like the old Sears Texcoat. About an 1/8" thick sprayed on rubber texture?
I have seen it sprayed on plywood siding and it looks like stucco. I think it was sold as a lifetime exterior paint. Looks bad when it fails.

It sounds like the fake stucco on my house- but I don't know what it is. It was installed at least 25 years ago by the previous owner on top of cinder block with no mesh and has held up surpisingly well, but it hates too much water, one area failed very badly due to a leaking downspout that I did not notice. In that section I had pieces a foot square peel off. one ad edge goes, it continues to get worse as more water gets under.
I just had it repaired and the repair looks bad but its mostly in a non visible part of the house so I can live with it.
