Just saw the item on these air-admittance valves in FHB. I am building in a rural area with a code-approved septic system already in place. These valves seem ideal for my DIY interior work, saving days of labor and holes in my roof.
So why aren’t they more common? What is the downside? Specifically, where does all that methane go? Thanks to all you plumbers. . . .
