I drove past a home being built near where I live. probably $350k.
Two story. Will be Hardie plank siding. At the bottom of the walls, they have a bottom “band board . There is metal flashing coming down the wall behing the band board. No problem with that.
The housewrap tyvek however is terminated under (behind) the flashing. In other words if water runs down the tyvek it will go behing the flashing (that is behind the band board)
looks wrong
is it?

There are no stupid questions. Here`s what I usually do. Behind the "band board" is Tyvek(although I prefer roofers felt). I bend the flashing over the top edge of band board to act as a drip cap. Aprox. 6" above the band board I slice the Tyvek in order to tuck the flashing behind it. I`m not saying its the only way to handle the situation....just the way I do.
