To all, I’m doing a finished basement. Its about 2500 sqft finished. What size subpanel will be needed?
50 recessed lts,40 15amp outlets, sewage pump, small barsink pump, wine chiller(undercounter),icemaker,dishwasher,20ampcircuits behind bar and bath, Maybe a treadmill,2 ton ac unit and forced air heat (90k btu). Also, whats the best way to protect all the AV and electronic circuits? does it make any sense to just go with all 20 amp on the outlets? My jobs by the beach they do!
Sparky’s coming out today and wanted to hear your opinions too.
Thank you guys , Lou

I'm no sparky, but I'd guess 100A to start for that size and load.
A panel surge protector would be a good deal more than outlet protectors, but offer better protection.

Sounds like you need your own powerplant.
Ever hear of conservation?

I feel for you. Since my son is grown and long gone, I can turn down any work which isn't consistent with my values.
Dont get me started on diapers!!!
Donella Meadows did an intersting study decades ago comparing the environmental impact of cloth diapers vs disposables, and she determined that cotton diapers had a greater negative impact because of the pesticides (most of any crop) used on cotton, the amount of water needed to launder cloth diapers, and the amount of bleach which goes into the ground water because of it.
