For most of the US and I would expect our northern neighbor, the AC season is over. Anyone out there besides me track the run time of the systems?
My air conditioner ran for 350 hours this summer, in Northern Illinois. I haven’t tallied up the CDD yet.

What are you doing, standing in the back yard with a stop watch?
If you haven't drawn blood today, you haven't done anything.
My thermostat keeps track of it for me.
That's some trick thermostat.
My Dad had to have a set-back stat. He's 80 and retired, but he decided that somehow it would save him money and no one could tell him differently. I put it in for him and now it's just set on hold and he can't even adjust it, because he doesn't understand how to work it.
So, now that you have this information, what do you do with it?If you haven't drawn blood today, you haven't done anything.
Basic Honeywell T8112D1002 5-2 programmable, single stage thermostat. The new Honeywell line, their PRO series, does not track "usage". Their market research determined that it wasn't a feature that was important to most consumers.

Our house is outside Austin, Tx. We condition 4200 sq ft, including 3400 ft of living area. Our electric bill was 130$ for july, august and september. September was the hottest on record with five days at 108 degrees and twelve days over 100. I don't know about total hours but it runs about three hours a day on scorchers. I guess we ran about the same number of hours as you. Why do you ask?
"Why do you ask?"
Just curious about how much people track their usage and how. May be useless info, maybe not?
