Here’s a two part jig we found handy for starting suspended ceiling. Install “L” to chalk line. Insert main. Install R.

I think the R would work on the L if ya screwed it from the other side!
Has that worked faster than just wiring the main tight before you fill in?
I can see how it would hold it right where ya want it...nice and steady.

I ussualy pull a couple of pieces of jet line perpindicular to my my main tees and wire them to the line.
I like your jig better because it takes out the line sag possibility.
