Hello, I keep having water leaks above our kitchen ceiling and have fixed the sheet rock many times, but now it’s too far gone. So I am considering doing a suspended ceiling but don’t like the usual stuff. I looked thru my old FHB issue because I seem to remember a ceiling without a visible track system. Has anyone ever seen or used this, or any other suggestions to make a ceiling that will provide me easy access if needed.
Thanks alot
Steve

Ummmmmm, well, my first recommendation to you is...... fix your plumbing ! Properly. Anyway, perhaps doing this is more than you can afford right now. When you find out how much concealed grid costs and what the minimums are for purchase, hiring a plumber and then drywalling may not seem too bad. The problem is mainly the minimums. I've never heard of any of our suppliers stocking concealed grid systems ( there are many types ) because of the infrequency of their use and their cost. This is a problem because you probably only need 2 or 3 mains, not a box of 25. You need to find a commercial ceiling installer who has some left over from another job.
