All:
Thought that this subject was just discussed here, but can’t find any revelant topic using the Advance Search function, so here I go:
Have a bedroom door that swings into the room during the winter but is OK during the summer. Realize that I must be dealing with changes in humidity & wood drying/swelling. Is the simple solution is just to take out a hinge pin and give it a good hammer wack on the barrel … i.e creat a flat spot?

I found the thread you're referring. I can't quite figure out why the advanced search feature doesn't always seem to work, but I was able to find it because I remembered that I had made a post there myself.

Don: Thanks - "my problem" with the advance search was that I thought the discussion was so recent that I limited the search to within the last 2 months; as Dear Abby would say, "mea culpa".
Fast Eddie: thanks for the "pariculars". jimz
Close. You want to put a slight bend in the pin, which will usually add enough friction to keep the door from swinging.
