That is an unspoken endorsement for copper over pex. Betcha the Copper Institute is behind this somewhere....

But it is not this day.
I am not a plumber. been a general contractor for 32 years. always use copper supplys. sounds like you are headed in the right direction. only had one problem , a trim carpenter put a gun nail thru a supply and it took 6 months for the nail to rust enogh to leak
Always glad to meet another copper lover, LOL.
BTW, welcome to BT, Not.
I should explain that the Copper Pipe Thread is a standing joke around here; it is message 1.1 from back when Prospero took over the server functions for the forum. Somehow the search function defaults to it under certain conditions; nobody is quite sure how that happens. JoeH is just pulling the SYSOP's leg....
You may have noticed most people use the default font size when posting; large fonts like the one you've been using tend to be regarded as 'shouting'. If you just start typing in the message box without selecting a font or a size, it will default to what you see in other posts.

didnt see any referance to copper pipe threads,(although I have some in my shop, always wondered what they were for). the font size thing is because my eyesight isnt what it used to be and i figured BTs site would adjust size to standard (always said I was computer stupid) if i didnt correct my text you would think you were doing seti research.
Gotcha on the weak eyes, LOL. If I weren't wearing a pair of 'readers' myself, you'd think I was posting in pig latin or something....
Your web browser may have a function that will adjust the text size of what you're seeing on the screen; but I've found that my IE only adjusts the size of the signature lines here on BT, not the text of the message. Don't quite know why that is. Luka is the bulging 'puter-head around here for that sort of stuff....

Joe, the search function seems to default - lol - to the CU pipe thread.
But if you look in the left margin, there will be a list of threads that meet your search criteria. Click on those and the information will flow.

Pierre, usually you'd be right, but this time it found nothing.
Got the copper & no results found.
So, here's the question, anyone ever heard of or used "Smart Foam"?

Use the ADVANCED search at the top of the page.
It never finds copper pipes (unless that is what you put in the serach terms).
