Is it the fence that makes a good saw? I’m in the market for a table saw and have been thinking of getting a used saw. A used saw could be bought for around $150. To improve that saw I’ve been toying with the idea of adding a good quality aftermarket fence. So the question; would I be throwing good money after bad? Your opinions…Does the fence make the saw?
TIA,
Martin

I put an Excalibar fence on my old Craftsman and it was a very worthwhile investment.
*I'd rather push sticks through an lousy saw with a great fence than a great saw with an lousy fence.
