ive got a bosch 4000…its about 2 years old …it gets used but not in production
i ran a 2x through her the other day worked fine than a ran a second board through it and the main breaker popped…which i have popped before with the vac running,,,
now the motor turns real slow and in reverse…should i just get a new motor or get an all new saw? or is there something else i could do to fix it

I have an old toaster that when you put in a slice of bread to toast, it comes out frozen when it's done. You think it's got the same problem

Sorry, but I've never heard of your problem.
Rod Serling, where are you now?
Sounds like start circuit points.
Mine get dust in them and need a good shot of air now and then.
Infrequently they need a disassemble and a kiss with a point file.

the start winding has lost its fluxy,
a bad start capacitor.... is this a one hump or two hump motor ?
or sawdust in the centrifugal switch
or the cent. switch is just bad or .......well that's about it
easiest thing to do is give it a shot of air..
just unplug the thing while you're working on it .don't need any loose fingertips laying around.
and DO NOT forget to discharge the capacitors before you even touch them

It aint got no lumps - it's a universal direct-drive motor.JT
then the problem must be in whatever fancy electronics Bosch uses .

I'd turn it on, and jab the blade in the right direction with a little stick, see if it goes the right direction. Of course that won't fix it or prove much of anything. Unless you're lucky. You feeling lucky today?
