I recently had a brain fart and gave away a 20 year collection of Fine Homebuilding and Fine Woodworking magazines. Iknow, I know— what was I thinking? Anyway, I need someone’s help locating an article in one of those magazines (within the last three years, I hope) about a shop-built, aluminum and plexiglas overhead table saw dust collection setup. This fellow used square tubing to make a counterwieghted arm which was connected to a vacuum hose and a plexiglas or lexan pickup device. This contraption, which you could see through, covered the blade and allowed the dust to be picked up through the hose into a standard collection system. When you didn’t need it, it swung up and out of the way.I want to build one but can’t remember (I have great-grandkids) exactly how it was designed. Can anyone help old gramps out?

I was wondering if this might be the one you're thinking of.
May 1990 issue #60 pg 63.
Was the article in the Tips&Techniques?QuestionAnswer areas or was it a full fledged article with photos?
Disclaimer notice for Uncle Dunc:
I see that that back issue is not available for purchase thru Taunton and that this particular article is not listed in their online article purchase listing.
Thus I feel within directed perimeters to post the attachment. If not then just shoot me.
I would become self-employed except I'm too cheap to pay myself anything.
