Tanza PVC trim – any experience with it?
Greetings,
I had an old post asking about NELS-TEK PVC trim boards that I couldn’t locate to save my life. So I created a new post.
Local lumberyards carry Tanza (distributed by Blue Linx) and Kleer. I was told Tanza is created using the freeform process same as AZEK. Is that so? Not mentioned on BlueLinx website. What about Kleer, anybody know?
I’ve decided to use freeform process PVC for its machinability. I’ll use Tanza or Kleer if I don’t get bad reports here, or find nearest yard that carries AZEK.
OK to mix brands? I can’t imagine why not. I may decide later I like the other’s moulding profile or size better, and would opt for theirs instead of sticking to one manufacturer throughout.
This is for trim on a new porch, and also A-dormers, rakes, etc.
Thanks much for all advice,
Scott

Just used the brick mold for storm doors. Seems to work OK for me. Pricey though.
Never tried Tanza before but if its free foam and not a celuka it will be much like Kleer or Azek. I prefer a celuka board though for outdoor trim and fascia because I noticed the all foam gets beat up more at the yards and through contractors treating it like cheap pine.
I have used a brand XO many times. Their mouldings are just as nice as the rest and the price came in much better. Just had a job with lots of crown and brick to hang a bunch of doors and was just fine. They have a harder surface but this one cuts just as clean as foam, I even routed it out once.
Just a question
What does free form (from opriginal post) / free foam (from yours)?
And also, celuka?
thanks.
