I’m looking for a method of repairing leaks in existing galvanized gutters, they’re not rounded gutters but are six inch box style galvanized type. These had soldered joints originally but over time, some leaks have appeared and soldering now would be an uphill slog because of the difficulty in cleaning the metal joint surfaces. After cleaning the inside surface of the gutter, I would like to use some sort of tube caulk to seal the leaks.
Any suggestions on what to use and technique?

REPLACE ALL. Plastic or Al.
If you have pine or fir needles, the acid produced eats galv gutters fast (< 10 years).
Dont ask how I know <G>, but would not ever use galv anything except for moss control under confirs.
We sometimes can buy some time with Geocel 2320 narrow seam and gutter sealant or 2315LRF fibered brushable sealant.
You will need a replacement gutter soon enough tho' probably.

Thanks a bunch. I was hoping you would send in your thoughts on the subject and once again, FHD has come through. Nothing beats the thoughts of many minds. Once again, Thanks
