GreenCu bought us a sweet set of Alum-A-Pole jacks. His concern for our safety and comfort is really a gift.
Although there is a learning curve and my coworker is kinda put off by the set up, I for one spent many days on wood poles…and I am not always fond of pipe scaffolds when ya get 5 or six sets high.
Thanks again G man..
Hey Mike Smith….you pull em up with a bracket attached to the structure and a rope, or stand them with the bracket on the pole then attach to the structure? We seem to have differing opines.

we do it all kinds of ways..most of the time we foot the pole and stand it.. then climb a ladder with the bracket..
the bracket adds too much weight to the top of the pole if you attach it.. and it swings around striking things ..
sometimes we attach to the roof.. sometimes to the freize. sometime to the siding
right now we're working at 30' ( 24' + 6' extension ) and installing a 6" gutter
a block west of us is the house we remodeled 2 years ago with the Green Hatteras roof... sold a year ago for $700K.... now back on the market at $840K.. no waterview so the new owners moved on

Thanks Mike. My co-worker welded some extensions to some of our braces so we could attach to the roof AND be able to work the gutter/soffit/fascia/ frieze etc.
As long as the "extendo's" are paired up it works well.
I think we have even more coming to add to the set up now.
I know what ya mean about having the braces on the poles first..kinda hinky feeling. That is how I always did it with my wood poles tho'..old habits die hard..LOL

Sphere - Enjoy the new toys. Just a thought after reading Mike's post on how the brackets swing, we had two accidents nearby with the poles that made the papers recently. Both were guys that got tangled up with wires. The last one two men died when they hit a 30,000vt primary electric line that ran between two houses. Aluminum makes a wonderful ground. They were putting the pole up. Be careful. (Don't mean to preach to the chior, just a reminder.)
Roger that.

Depending on how many you have helping--
My best advice is to attach the brackets to the house and use the rope.
