One more rainy day in Vermont (one incredibly wet spring). Spent the last hour looking through Breaktime threads, lots having to do with the 1st time homebuilder and all the generous and compassionate replies to his questions, well over a hundred. Really seems like a fairly skilled guy, he’s just stepping out a bit and needs some help. The replies and helpful sugestions were extraordinary, lots of builders who remember what it was like to start out. Kind of a fun adventure story, remember what that first house was like?? Over and over again, I read through threads from the skilled and the unskilled here and there are always helpful people to offer suggestions and tips. I have been in the trades for 25 years now and I’m still being helped by all of you. Have barely participated yet but watch out, I’m getting more comfortable……
I just felt the need to thank FHB and the forum participants for their participance in this forum. There are other construction forums (The Magazine from New England ?) where people would holler you off if you dared ask a question about something you did for less than 20 years(warning…..don’t go to the electrical forum!!). Curiously, many of the members profiles have their ages at 25 or 30. Anyway.. I do subscribe to the other mag.,(homies) but I will now become a FHB subscriber. Really always wanted to be one, loved the chance to pick one up at other peoples houses etc. , was just an extra outlay I said no too. But…Can’t say no any longer. Thanks for hosting the forum and allowing it to be open to newbie’s to vets.

Beware. RFID is coming.
Welcome to BT.
I see that you are in Vt. Why don't you think about coming down to L.I., NY to the Breaktime Fest this August. It's a blast and you can get to know some of the faces (Ugh) that go with the names. Check out the Breaktime Fest folder for past history and see anything to do with this years outing-Tipifest.
A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.
